The name “Greed Fandango” was originally inspired by the title of a computer game I have loved for many years.
That game is filled with black humor, which is a kind of expression I still admire deeply - though I have to admit it is not exactly something I am especially talented at. At some point, a similar phrase came to mind. I thought it sounded interesting, so I decided to use it.
In that sense, the name is also a small tribute.
As I wrote in the previous journal, this project began from a desire to make the most of life - to live in the moment.
But to “make the most of life” also means facing the fact that time, energy, and resources are limited. We cannot choose everything. We have to decide what matters most, and by doing so, we also decide what must be left behind.
When I tried to answer those questions for myself, I found that I wanted many things - I wanted to keep music, family, work, dreams, stability, freedom, and all the versions of myself that could have existed.
Looking at it that way, life starts to feel like a strange little comedy of desire.
A greedy fandango, perhaps.
